Brushup is Alifya Lokhandwala’s home-based studio in Navsari, Gujarat, where useful everyday pieces become hand-painted art.
Our Story
From painted ridas to everyday art.
Alifya first learned to paint on ridas, discovering how colour, movement and brushwork behave on fabric. After time away from painting, she returned with a clearer idea: art should be carried, worn, used and gifted in everyday life.
She began painting bags, stoles, garments and household fabrics, often giving the finished pieces to friends and family. Their personal requests gradually became custom commissions and, eventually, Brushup.
Florals, leaves, vines and other botanical forms remain her starting point. Today every Brushup piece is painted by Alifya after it is ordered, with natural variations that show the hand behind the work.

Are all pieces really hand-painted?
Yes — every single piece is painted by hand using archival textile paint. No prints, no stamps.
Will my piece look exactly like the photo?
Because each piece is hand-painted, slight variations in brushwork and colour are natural and expected. This is what makes it yours.
Can I commission something custom?
Absolutely. Visit our Custom Order page, describe your vision and we’ll paint it for you.
How do I care for my piece?
Most pieces should be hand-washed in cold water or spot cleaned. Specific care instructions are listed on each product page.
How long does an order take?
Standard individual pieces usually need 7–10 days before dispatch. Custom orders take approximately 2–4 weeks, depending on the agreed design and quantity.
Do you ship internationally?
Standard online ordering is available across India. International work is considered only for special requests and requirements; message Brushup on WhatsApp before ordering.
