Care Instructions

Every Brushup piece is hand-painted using archival-grade, permanent textile paints. While our paints are designed to embed directly into the fibers to resist cracking and fading, these are still original works of art that require mindful handling.

01. Washing & Cleaning

Spot clean only using a soft damp cloth and mild, pH-neutral soap.
Do not machine wash or tumble dry your painted canvas or apparel.
Do not aggressively rub or scrub the painted motif area.
Never use bleach or harsh chemical detergents.

02. Storage & Display

Store your bags stuffed with acid-free tissue paper to maintain their shape.
Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the saturation of the archival paints.
Store in a cool, dry place. Humidity can compromise both the canvas integrity and the paint bond over decades.

03. Wear over Time

You may notice the canvas softening and the paint naturally molding to the movement of the fabric over years of use. This is a deliberate, beautiful part of the aging process that gives your item its own patina and character. A well-loved Brushup bag tells a story.
